Louisiana State University Meets and Exceeds $1.5 Billion Fundraising Goal Three Years Early

Louisiana State University’s $1.5 billion Fierce for the Future fundraising campaign reached and exceeded its goal three years early, with $1,594,464,658 as of June 30, 2022.Louisiana State University

The campaign, which publicly started three years ago, was for every LSU campus: the flagship Baton Rouge campus, the LSU AgCenter, LSU of Alexandria, LSU Eunice, LSU Health New Orleans, LSU Health Shreveport, LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center and LSU Shreveport.

More than 68% of gifts were for academics and 32% were for athletics.

About $1.3 billion was for the flagship Baton Rouge campus and the LSU AgCenter. $115.6 million went to scholarships. $245 million from Our Lady of the Lake and LCMC Health went to transforming healthcare in the state. $171.1 million went to health and biomedical campuses, such as LSU Health New Orleans, LSU Health Shreveport, and LSU’s Pennington Biomedical Research Center.

Donors gave $14.3 million through the LSUA Foundation in support of LSU of Alexandria; $4.8 million through the LSUE Foundation in support of LSU Eunice; and $13.7 million through the LSUS Foundation in support of LSU Shreveport.
